is it better to use originall dealer adjustable shocks/struts(ecs control) or after market adjustable shocks /struts with the stock ecs. is there a difference in the ride ? any suggestions on wat to use on a budget.

I'm not exactly sure if this is the answer you're looking for. You cannot use aftermarket struts and maintain the ECS feature. You can use aftermarket struts on an ECS vehicle but you will be losing the electronic adjustment as the variable valving is in the ECS strut itself.

New struts are always better than old wornout struts. If i personally had a choice to chose between NEW aftermarket or NEW factory ECS, i'd stick with the ECS. The Tour mode is perfect for my taste, and the sport mode works well in the twisties.

I've also read a lot of people saying that going from stock ECS to KYB's give a much better ride especially with handling.

A lot cheaper, too.

I have KYB GR-2 gas struts with intrax lowering springs... The car was not as low as I wanted due to the fact of the taller, stiffer strut, but for all general purposes, I think this is a very nice upgrade for any 3000gt. I do not have any experience with the electronic suspension because I have never had it.... but I am not really the kinda person to have something like that.
