OK, cool.

So if i did buy something like this, what are some things i need to keep maintained, cleaned and checked?

Would a car inspector do a good job of checking the car?

Also, how did you find that talon? Did you use Google, and if so, what did you type in for the search?

Here is how i find a suitable candadate:

Ebay.com --> Search: Eclipse GSX --> Order highest price first --> Check all the listings -->

What you look for ... is an engine with Forged rods and pistons.

I would recomend changing the oil every 3k miles with 100% synthetic. Change the timing belt every 60K (ask when it was changed) Change the trans fluid at 60K.

Just dont do anything half ***

So something like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mitsu...QQcmdZViewItem

This would probably be quite a bit more than 7K...

What do you think the HP would be if he didn't use racing fuel?

Yes thats a perfect candadate. Ihad actually seen it before...The reason i didnt pick that the first time is that it has more power. They are pretty easy cars to drive.. so if you think you can handle it... who am i to say you cant. If you want less power then all you have to do is turn the boost down... just the flick ofa ****.

The 397 was on pump gas dude

You would be suprised... i dont think that will go for much more than 7 actually.

OK, just to make sure i didn't go in a complete circle:are one of these cars going to be much more reliable and easier to maintain than a 3000GT VR4?

YES!!!

All VR4s before 94 have bottom end problems... they commonly spin bearings and thats expensive! They are also very hard to work on because the engine bay is cramped... not to mention they are very heavy. Also, the ones we talked about (the green and red one) are built very strong... and a fully built VR4 like that will run you about 20k... and it wont be any faster.

YES! Without any doubt! Sorry, Stealth/3KGT owners but even the DSMs are more reliable...

Yeah...I've had nothing but problems with mine... *cough-bull****-cough*

Somehow...my 92 has never had problems with the bottom end...neither does anyone who takes care of their car. The only thing you people have said that is true is that they are heavy...

You're right Sebba about costing 20k and not being any faster...but it will look a hell of lot better.
