if i drop my car 1" what is the max size of rims with the smallest tires?

 

20"s.... but i dont recomend that... unless you dont care about poor ride quality and a loss of cornering ability. You need at least a 18" that has a decent tire size on it. You need a certain amount of tire flex.

 

im assuming you have a 3gt with that beautiful wheel gap that we all love. i think your best bet would be intrax springs with 18 or 19 inch rims. or you can go with coilovers for a lower drop. But intrax spings are the best springs for the 3gt being that they have the biggest drop.

 

I don't understand the rim size question. Unless, you get your speedo recaliberated to having larger diameter wheels, you really should consider sticking with something close to the stock diameter. Some of you have seen or heard of folks having their speedo's being "off", right? It's because some of them bought a wheel package that either exceeds the stock wheel (wheel being the tire and rim) diameter or doesn't meet the stock wheel diameter.

 

right now for the winter i've got some 225/55/16's on with eibach lowering springs

and for the winter i've got 225,40/18's with the same eibach lowering springs on it and i really like how it looks. could be lower, but what are you gonna do?lol

i had eibach springs on my 98 gt i used to own and i think its a waist of money only dropped about an inch,,, does anyone know of springs that lower it more without having to get coil overs and have camber adjustments? i have a 99 vr-4 now that is stock with that same wheel gap that we all love...how much do those intrax springs lower the car?

 

Tein S tech for the EVO is a 2 incher up front and a .9 in the rear which evens it out completely and the car looks slammed

 

do the evo springs fit the 3000gt sl and will i be able to keep 18s on the car?
