Default snake eyes mod

is the snake eyes mod really worth doing? to me take out the dash board or wutever and cutting and reconneting those 2 wires just isn't worth it just to have the lights come on without the lights flipping up.

The job can be done in about 15 minutes if you use the instructions you will find on the 3S Wiki

it really doesnt serve a purpose at all cause you cant drive at night without the lights up anyway. and i heard that sometimes your fog lamps will stop working and the heat from the lights being on without the lamps up causes it to get moist and crack over time. i dont even think it's worth the time and patience just to make the lights go through the clear lenses. if you really wanted a picture of it you could just have someone hold the highbeam trigger so that they light up. lol

i just found another page that shows a way of doing the snake eyes without removing the dashboard. something about the fuses and running a wire and installing a toggle switch somewhere. the guy that did it put the switch near his active aero. i guess if the switch is on then everything works the way it should and if the switch is off then the headlights wont pop up but the lights will turn on. thats a pretty cool option if you dont want to lose the ability for your headlights to pop up with the normal switch so you dont have to push the button all the time. here's the site:

Alan's method works great. I've done it to both my cars. The snake eyes only come on when the parking lights are on. It's good during low light times, like dusk or when it's raining and you don't need/want your flip ups, up. Looks nice for picture time too.
