So basically when the car is off, the gas pedal is loose like a goos like it should. When i start the car up and drive, the pedal tends to stick. I basically push it and wait for it to catch. We have no clue what to do to get my pedal loose like its supposed to.

 

The cable could be sticking, or your return spring is getting weak.

Fire up the car with the hood open, open the throttle a couple times with your hand. If it springs closed like it should, you'll know it is something in the cable system. Does your cruise control work OK?

 

yea, the cruise is fine

 

I only asked because the throttle cable goes from the pedal to the cruise to the throttle body.

the only probs i got it the pedal sticking which isnt too bad at all but still gay. The speedmometer not working is queer to but the car runs like a dream!!!

 

so we took the cruise cable off and the pedal still sticks, man this sucks.

 

Does it stick every time you press it down?

 

Grease the hell out of the cable and mechanism.

This happened to me on the GST.... i got to 110 before i got it free [&:]turns out there was a piece of electrical tape stuck to it.... whoops.
