I am considering buying a 94 VR-4, and I heard that the transfer case can start leaking or something and the wheels will lock at any speed(WHICH IS SCARY!). I wanted to know if there is a replacement for the OEM transfer case or if there are preventive acts that I can do to keep the car reliable.

 

Thats only with a little brass cap thats on it. Change the cap and you should be ok. (Dont quote me on that but i heard it from a reliable source)

 

theres a recall on the case, take it to a mitsu dealership and they have to fix it if there is any leaking.

You can also get a brace for the case to make sure it doesn't move under hard acceleration so you don't snap it or anything.
