vr4 - white smoke

Default vr4 - white smoke

Iam looking at a 91 vr4 for sale but it run but has white smoke out of the tailpipes, what causes this.

Are you sure it is white smoke and not just steam from a little moisture?

Moisture is perfectly normal. If it was white smoke it would be filling the air with a thick fog so thick that you cant see. This would mean a head gasket most likely.

the smoke doesnt go away and it is pretty thick.

Yeah head gasket most likely. Check under the oil cap for white goop

Head gasket big times dont even bother getting the vehicle your going to have to put movey into to it so what you have now best bet it to look for another one and the price diff you were going to pay for it to get fixed good luck
