After running some local ads for the ole 96 3000gt s/l,ive decided to have a friend in the car business take it to the auction here in Memphis on Tuesday,while hes got some general ideas on what itll bring,I was wondering whay yall think,Ill list some of the major points below..

New paint(Basecoat Clearcoat) Black
131,000 miles showing
5 Speed Std
Rebuilt top end(professionally)
New timing belt,and pulleys/tensioner
New Water Pump
New Batterey

Interior is a 9 on a 1-10 scale with the only major flaw is a worn spot on the drivers seat.
ALL OEM with the exception of the keyless remote.
Standard SL package...

yeah i found mine to be around that price too, but i feel they are worth more than that.

 

Hope youre right,my buddy said he saw a 95 go through the auction a few weeks ago with about 165000 miles on it,and a blown engine to boot...it came in on a wrecker,and was sold for 4850.00.
According to my friend,the "prime time" for the auction has passed,as most potential buyers use their tax refunds to get their new ride...im hoping that the recent wash/wax will turn some heads..the auction is tomorrow(tuesday) and ill post the final selling price when I get home......

Well, Guess i did miss the mark.the 3000gt didnt sell at the auction.Havent had the chance to talk to my buddy other than a quick call from him telling me to pick it up from Adesa.Evidently there werent alot of buyers there today...not too worried,as she drives and looks great....Thanks for the replys guys!

 

well here's an up side to it. now you can drive this awesome car more than you anticipated for more driver car time. sounds good to me.

 

Yeah....no worries,the wife "suggested" we sell it and pay off some bills,I wasnt that keen on getting rid of it to begin with....It runs like a scalded dog,and looks damn good if I do say so myself..[&:][X(]
