Default When selling a '97 vr4?

Hey guys we are considering selling our VR4. Its in perfect condition with a brand new $5000 paint job. Its got countless mods to the engine and air flow. Basically its right around 525 to 550hp at the wheels. Its got around 52,000 miles. I havent inquired at all about selling it. Does anyone know if the damand is causing buyers to spend a little more then blue book to get a car that already has all the mods?

demand on those cars actually puts the worth well over blue book just on a stock car. So with mods like that, yea id say its safe to say youll get more than blue book value

Thats good to hear. We got a good deal on it. We paid like 23k in 2001 with like 25,000 miles on it completely stock. Since then we have put about another 20k into it. I imagine its just a matter of finding the right buyer.

yea thats just about it. But private selling is always a pain it the ***. Expecially when you keep getting people that say they are interested, then never come threw

Hahaha yeah I can see that being a problem too. Everyone who sees it is interested and its even worse when they ride in it. It always grabs their attention when they go from 0 to 100 in about 6.5 seconds. Does anyone have any luck on ebay?

I used to have a 97 Eclipse GST Spyder that i put a LOT of $$$ into. Had 420 WHP and went to sell it. KBB was $15K at the time, I was asking $17K and the car had low miles and was in near PERFECT physical condition. I couldnt sell it at ALL. I ended up havign to take off almost ALL the performance parts and sell it for $14K and keep most of my parts. I am sure the VR4 has a better resale, but dont be suprised if you hear what I heard when people called on the car...

Here is what almost EVERYONE said to me when I had it for sale...

"Oh with 400+ HP you MUST have been racing this car. I dont want one thats been beat on"

REALLY annoying. Especially since i never really did get to run that damn car!!! lol. Post up some pics of you VerFer though..lets see it.

yes micheals thats true but i believe there is a HUGE difference between a 2g GS-t that is availible everywhere and a VR-4 that are very rare cars. Thats why the stock VR-4's sell for more than book value and the stock 2g's will sell for under book value
