Mitsubishi 3000GT During it's production run, and after, the 3000GT was a pure sports car offering forced induction and all wheel drive, as well as smooth aerodynamic styling.

Why doesn't Mitsubishi make the 3000 GT anymore?

the 2g and 3g have a tremendous amount of money in high performance parts (as well as for looks)... may be a lil extreme for me! lol

I read that the SUpra year after year won many challenges. They competed against the bmw, mercedes and prorsches and won overall for slalom, top speed and acceleration. But the article stated that many people wont spend 50 grand on a Japanese sports car...they would rather have a German engineered car. (Not me!) If I could afford one and found a cherried out Supra...I'd buy it over a Boxster! lol

What are there maintenance problems. I thought Mitsubishi (and Toyota) had less problems than American Made cars....?

those are japan's super cars.....turbo's / twin turbos.( 3000 vr-4.. supra tt model and 300 z fairlady ) talk about maintaining a dual turbo 6's and daily driven.not a normal maintenance compare to n/a cars.

I have never dealt with a twin turbo but I own a single turbo Subaru WRX ... I don't see what is different in the upkeep as compared to non turbo... especially with these being factory components. Maintenance and breaking down are two different things. All cars need maintenance, some break down more than others!

yeah thats right, all this aftermarket parts....anyway, i used to own vr-4, and the dealership always recommend me for early maintenance. back then we aint got turbo timers, its all manual ( 5 min. after start up and another 5 cool down method) another reason why maintenance is a must for this kind of cars, it also involves extra maintenance for the turbos ,now a days, its all in the book.

I am thinking of replacing my 2.0 block with the 2.5 L STI motor. They have dynoed the 2.5L block with the 2.0 L heads and they get really good results. I get 240 HP to the ground and with the motor upgrade they are pushing 320 hp at 19 lbs of boost. Amazing power out of a 4 cylinder! lol
