Default 1993 Mitsubishi Diamante Help

I have a 93 Diamante with the DOHC V6. It started off with a water pump leak, and it was runng... I fixed the leak by putting a new water pump on which means I had to remove the timing belt. So I did, and someone told me the incorrect way to retime it. And I ended up bending valves on number 4 and 5 cylenders. Got that fixed, and I also replaced the fuel pump cause it quit while it was sitting for almost a year... I fixed that... rechecked timing and aall the marks line up. But now its flooding. I know its getting spark... Anyone has any idea on whats wrong with it? Id really hate to distroy it, being such a beautiful car... any help is appreciated

Clean off the spark plugs, leave them out and turn over the engine with the fuel injection fuse out. Then replace the spark plugs, and see what happens.

I did that and it would just spit like its wanting to start, but doesnt, then after acouple of spits, the plugs are soaked with gas again... Im kinda thinking that there might be something wrong in the timing... I checked the timing marks and they looked like its all right... When I put it together and timed it right, even with bent valves, it tried to start and it did manage to run alittle... it ran real bad but it still ran... and I did a compression check, and my compression was 180-200psi, except the 2 that had bent valves... now my compression is between 130 and 150psi

I didnt do it tho with the fuel injector fuse out... where is that fuse located?

There is still an issue internally again, sounds like it's out of time to be honest.

I re-adjusting the timing and it acts like it wants to fire up... It hit and started then died out, and went back to flooding again... What are the spark plug gaps? I checked mine and they are almost 0.50... I have heard that those DOHC engines are hard to put in time

Are you sure? You checked it against the crank timing mark too?

Narrow the gap to .044.

It sounds like it's either out of time or has bent valves.

Yeah, I checked the marks and it looks good... I know the valves arent bent. I did a full valve job on it. I didnt have time today to do a compression test, but im going to do that tomorrow on it.

Are you sure you got the firing order correct?

I think I did... I put the firing order in time by what I found on google... It said that it was for a Diamante, but who knows if it was correct... i might need to serach and find it again to be sure it was a diamante firing and not some other car
