Default 2-3 shift flare up
In my 2002 diamante the shift between 2 and 3 has been always a bit hard and jerky.
I found a TSB for it -
Mitsu shift flare - Automotive Service Professional

Does that mean the dealer has to fix it ?

If you want it fixed per the TSB, then the dealer will be most familiar with it, otherwise you can check out some auto repair places that service transmissions and ask.
