Default 2002 Control arm bushings

My control arm bushings appear to be dripping a clear sticky fluid. I have not noticed a degradation in ride quality but I am very concerned that if they are intended to be sealed and they are slowly losing their respective fluids (both right and left are dripping) I would be expecting rapid reduction in ride quality and excessive wear on other front suspension components.

Are there any aftermarket parts available for replacements in this application? The OEM parts from Mitsu are extremely expensive.

Thanks for any help.

The car has 108K miles and just had struts replaced.

I believe I found the correct part # as MR223864

Found a great website for an exploded view of the control arm assembly.

After further visual inspection it appears that the following are the leaking culprits

AW343831

and

AW343832

But they are each priced out at about $180 each !!

Are there any lower cost alternatives for this bushing replacement Diamante owners are happy with ?

Thanks for the help

Here's the best low cost alternative provided by Whiteline. They appear to cater to the Magna crowd out of Australia.

Whiteline W52425 Control arm - lower inner rear bushing

The low cost USA distributor appears to be:

Whiteline Suspension Parts - Part Number W52425 - Front Lower Control Arm Bushings - Inner Rear

Much less expensive that trying to deal with Whiteline directly.

W52425 from Whiteline does not fit. The USA version of the Control Arm uses a rear nut. These bushing are designed for a control arm that does not use a retaining nut.

I am back to trying to find AW343831 (left) and AW343832 (right); but they are expensive and I cant find a dealer that has them in stock. SouthWest Mitsubishi has one AW343832 but not the left.

Has anyone replaced these bushings yet and what was the solution and experience? I am tired of cleaning up the dripping goo on the floor of the garage.

Finally a 2003 abandoned Diamante became available at a Pick and Pull and I rescued the front lower control arm bushings (rear bushings) for $30 bucks. Excellent condition and dry.
