im just looking for some suggestions as to what could cause:

1) if i dont let the car warm up before i put it in drive, it stalls. when i shift into drive, the rpms drop to about 500 and they are shaky. once the car warms up,i have a slight bounce with about a 100rpm difference.

2) the engine wont rev higher than about 2400rpm while accelerating no matter how hard i push the gas pedal. ive been told it could be the fuel filter, fuel pump, injectors, bad ECU (or just an ECU running in safe mode).

any help would be appreciated.

 

the MAF sensor as well as entire intake piping all the way to the manifold are new. and i had the battery unplugged for well over a half an hour while wrestling my battery clamps on. more than enough time to reset the ECU.

 

theres nothing to "reset" inside the ECU.

you probably have a combination of failures, the most common being a shorted Idle control motor and a failing ECM.

 

i have a question for souseke.where did you find theaftermarket intake system for the diamante?
