we are trying to replace the heater core in a 2002 mitsubishi diamante. how do you take out the stereo and how do you replace the entire heater core? thanks

 

its not usually the core itself, but rather the two rubber "o" rings that seal the core to the coolant pipes.

and you need to take out FAR, FAR more than the radio.. the entire dash/HVAC system needs to come out. takes about 6 hours.
