Autozone put a diagnostic tool on my car and informed me I need to replace the 02 sensor for Bank 1 Sensor 2. I already replaced the sensor at the front of the car under the engine. In the diamante the engine is inserted so that the front of the engine faces passenger side fender, so I guess this would be left side bottom before the catalytic converter. The check engine light only went off for about 30 seconds after that and has been on for about a year now. I am starting to have problems with the car stalling or thrusting itself forward unexpectedly. I suspect it is the 02 sensor. Can someone please tell me which sensor is Bank 1 Sensor 2 on a 2001 Mitsubishi Diamante LS.

 

Well this is kind of like the Galant thread sir....I suggest you take the car to a local mechanic and do a Propane enrichment test to test the ability of the 02 sensor.-call up local shops ask them if they do that.
Autozone got in big trouble in the past and looks like they are trying to be sneaky again...they used to diagnose problems incorrectly and sell items.After awhile the government found out (undercovers) And autozone the company got a big time charge by the federal government for their unlawful practices.

Edit: also autozone legally isnt allowed to do the diagnosis anymore. because of the big legal issue they had.
They although can rent the scan tool out to you and Observe you doing it. I only get parts that I need for customer cars from autozone,kragen,etc... Most of the time I call a part in a rep answers and has no idea of what we as in myself and coworkers mean so we have to take time and drive down to show them the parts...
