So I just bought a 01 Eclipse 2.4L and check engine light stays on, when I plug it into the computer there are no codes. I looked in the fuse box and looks like the check engine relay fuse has been pulled out. Could this be my problem? If so how do I figure out the relay part number since there isn't an old one in the box. Or if someone knows the part number that will help.

 

Your Eclipse may need reprogramming of the engine control computer in some instances that the "Check Engine" indicator to be illuminates.

 

Will this pass inspection with no codes or do they go off of the light? Because the computer doesn't seem to be turning it on.
