Default 04 Endeavor Limited sub replacement - 4 or 8 ohm?

The factory Infinity sub in my wife's 04 Endeavor Limited finally bit the dust, and I want to replace it with an aftermarket sub. I have removed the factory speaker, and found several options that will fit in the factory mounting hole, but can anyone tell me if the factory sub is 4 ohm or 8 ohm? Also, any ideas which connector on the factory speaker is + and which is - ? They are not listed on the connector or the speaker itself

Thanks for the help!

David

Default Speaker

I would suggest that it is a 4 ohm speaker, since the others are rated for that. As far as which connector is +/-, it really doesn't matter, unless you are concerned about phase interference with the other speakers, but I doubt you'd really notice it. The speaker doesn't care, it will operate just fine if you have them switched.

thanks for the response...my initial thought was 4 ohm as well, but it is always better to double check.

As far as the +/- issue, I'll hook up the new sub both ways to see if the audio quality is any different

thanks again!
