checking codes turning ignition key ?

Default checking codes turning ignition key ?
Most auto's I have owned you could turn the key several times and the codes would flash in the odm area, can this be done on an 04 / 05 Endeavor ?
If so how many times does it take turning key rapidly to acc and back to off ?.

Anyone try this or do you have to go to auto store to get the codes pulled?
