this adapter functions differently depending on which model radio you have. if your radio has the indash cd changer controls it WILL work

can you post a picture of your radio face?

Thanks for all the info in here so far. I just got a 05 endeavor ls with the single cd player. Can I use one of thecables listed earlier to run an aux cable into the stereo. Looking to hook up an mp3 player to the stereo. If not is it possible to put in a new stereo since the stereo and ac are all part of the same unit in the dash. thanks for any help

Hi...I was wondering if you knew whether or not this cable would work with the 80 Endeavor radion unit that I have. I have attached the picture. And if so, how much would it be and how easy would it be to install and would I get to control the Ipod throuhg the steering wheel controls and the radio buttons... thanks for your help... Jorge

mitsupartsman, I have an original W142 radio (part number MR337279) in my Mitsubishi montero 2007. In the back I have the 13 pin conetctor and the 14 pin conector showed in 4mer4runner photos (post #33). It is SINGLE CD radio.
Question is, can i use the part MZ607411EX ipod adapter in that radio?
If so, when you conect the device, can you acces the music from the ipod or only from the comand buttons of the radio unit?
Can I use the part MZ360135EX that plugs into the headpone jack of the ipod?

Default Tinito with 06 galant

I just installed an I pod Interface on my 06 Galant . It has a single disc radio/cd unit with a part number 8701A045 and I installed the factory interface part # MZ607411EX . Everything works fine except for one thing, It does NOT charge the Ipod . I've tried plugging 3 kinds of Ipod (4th generation Nano, 2nd Generation I Touch , and Ipod classic) and all of them dont charge. "Charging is Not supported with this accessory " is the only thing I'm getting when I plug in an IPod but everything else works . I noticed there was a power wire that come off the unit but on the directions and the dealer said, its only used when hooking it up to a 6 disc changer .. so I need help if anyone had the same issue .. thanks..!

Don't settle for FM modulators you will not be satisfied. I found the iPod connector that plugs into that CD changer slot a few years ago. I will have to find the part number if needed still.
