Smile Replace Timing Belt Proceedure 2006 3.8L

Does anyone have the proceedure for replacing the timing belt on a 06' 3.8 Endevor. Have built hot rods and drag engines all my life and was field service for Detroit Allison I have the experience and tools. I am looking for the factory or the proper proceedure if someone has it. I have looked for Mitchel's Manuals but all they offer is the CD. I would rather have a printed page if someone has it.

Thanx in Advance R. Davis

You can go to the dealer and asked the parts department to print the "exploded diagram" of the engine. thats how they order engine parts by looking at those diagram.

They need the VIN# of your car. I did asked before and they faxed it to me.
i hope this help

Default Timiing Belt Replacement

I don't recommend doing it, unless you have experience with interference engines. Regardless of how you get it done, you should also replace the water pump, the tensioner, and idler.

Check here for an exploded view of the timing belt and parts...

I have a book with the exact procedure. I did it myself and it's not that hard. The only problem is the room to see and move under the hood
