Still pointless IMO. The stock Evo body is pretty wide. you can still run pretty wide wheels and tires. widebody kits are ugly and ruin the car. Incase you have never seen one installed it requires to cut the rear 1/4s out. basically you do that you can consider your resale or trade in to be gonzo unless you find someone else to buy who likes widebody Evos.

The stock rim is a 8-or and 8.5 in width. So a 9 or 9.5 should be easy fit. that being said on my Supra I have a 9.5 rim with a 295 tire. if you look at my rear end it looks crazy wide because the width isnt about the rim as it is more about the tire.

a 265 on an Evo is very wide looking you wouldnt even need a wide rim to hold that tire. As a matter of fact I have a 8.5 in the front of my supra with a 265 tire on there

see how wide it looks with only a 9.5 wheel

My car has an 8.5 front with a 265 tire on it. my rears are 9 or 9.5 I cant remeber with a 295 on it. your car all depends on the offset of the wheels weather or not your get rubbing
