HKS 272's are my fav. If you plan on going for a 35r at some point, 272's are good.

The only downside, is that with smaller turbo applications, running a high lift cam can actually cause you to lose some torque in places. High lift cams can also cause the car to idle like ****. You may have a little trouble getting things going in really cold weather, but car enthusiasts don't usually care : )

Ok that said. when it comes to Evos DONT get hks cams at all (thanks sebba) I only did because I got them cheap. HKS cams are overpriced for what you get. GSC's are better for the Evo. but remember the GSCs 272 are more like 280s. same with Comp. The Evo you should go with at least a 272 cam. it wont idle to bad with 272s. if you go with HKS 280s or the 280s from other companies youll have idle issues and youll need springs and retainers

so the GSC 272's would be ok for the stock turbo and would they be for for 500 whp because that is my long term plan. also where is the best place to buy? or should i just look aruond? and how many WHP will those cams make? and that is why i asked about the cams becasue i heard the HKS suck.

The GSC S2's (I believe the S2's are the 272 cams) should be fine for the stock turbo and really good for the 35r turbo later on. If you didn't plan on upgrading to the 35r the GSC S1's would be the better choice.

I bought my GSC S1's on www.stikiller.com for a pretty good price and you can get the S2's there as well. However, I would shop around for the best deal.
