Default help find evo V-VII

I need help finding, purchasing, and understanding things about the Evo. I want to find the generations that my thread title has in it. I want to be able to drag, maybe drift if possible, autocross, and street race. Plus I want to stand out a little from my dsm eclipse obsessed friends(and I'm from a area where people seem to swear by VW and Civics)

The only US Evos that were shipped here started in 03. Which was the VIII and of course now the IX and the X is in the near future.

I bought mine unmodded and used. Some people dont mod them at all. I on the other hand have dropped about $10k in motor work since buying it and Ill tell you dont be scared of ones with mods. Just besure it is maintained well. The maintence history of the car can be far more fatal than a few bolt ons. these cars are maintenace ****** they require alot of TLC to keep them strong.

To be honest I am not afraid of modded evos, it is just that I want to alot of the work myself. So I know the car inside and out. Plus I developing the belief that if you do the work yourself you are more likely to take care of it better(personal opinion).

hey check this one out, i've seen it on craigslist in the massachusetts area near me, and yea it has a rebuilt title. Because they took it all apart and put it back together once transported into the US. And so far, the only VII i've ever seen for sale in the US, and i guess it's not a bad price considering how rare it is and the mileage isn't horrible
