Default hey from the newbie

hello everyone! i have been looking at getting a new car for about the last month or so and i have been looking at the evo 9's MR and also infinity g35's and mustang gt's as well. i think i have my mind set on the evo but i am considering a lease due to me having no credit and my payments would be way too high on a new purchase. i do have a co-signer with excellent credit. i was wondering what your opinions are on lease's as well as what my insurance is going to look like with me being 19 and 2 speeding tickets on my record. i have been told that insurance on evo's is not that much but i would like to hear from the people that actually own the cars and have the experience. thank you in advance!

nice choices, those are all very nice cars, I purchased my 05 evo 8 in august and I love it, Since you have some speeding tickets already your insurance I guess would be pretty high regardless of what car, but i can tell you that my insurance went from 3600 a year for my mustang that I sold for the evo (the mustang was a supercharged v6) to 2400 bucks a year. The evo is not concidered a sports car so insurance is gonna be cheaper, at least in chicago it is. So with the evo you get better performance, and spend less for insurance, how can you beat that??? As for leasing, I have never leased a car so I cant help you there although one thing to look at, if you lease a car it isnt yours, so im pretty sure your limited to miles driven and you cant do anything to the car because when the lease is up it needs to go back in the same shape. If you have no credit you are gonna have to build it some way so why not just have someone co sign for you and suffer for a little while until you can get a loan from a bank or somewhere once you establish some decent credit. Whatever you do though make sure that your name is first on the paper work, when my dad co signed for me no my first car the put his name first on the paper work , so I was making the payments but he was getting the credit, once I got it straight, i got all the credit. hopefully this helps you a bit.

i know the rules with the lease is that you can pretty much do what you want as long as there are no visible holes... so that leaves me with some options... i have a few ideas of what i want to do with the car and as far as performance goes its really basic im not looking to push 500 hp out of it. also my current vehicle (94 ford ranger) i know everything about the engine and what not, so switching to this i have been reading around here and things sound very complicated. are these cars hard to work on? im one of those people who would rather screw something up myself rather than take it to a shop.

From my understanding you don't have to purchase a new vehicle to get financed....Emonz car would be a good deal considering all the mods he has done to it.

yup your right... you can go to any bank and get auto financing as long as the car is withing there year \ milage criterea (which mine would)

SAFCII= Super Air Flow Converter 2 it is a tuning devise. Tunes the AFR (air fuel ratio) leaning it out a bit so the car is faster and gets better gas milage by far compaired to stock. It is worth about 30-40WHP
