Default Intercooler Piping help

Hi, I first want to say that you guys are great. I always turn to this website for help first when it comes to my Evo. Anyway, I'm looking to buy some IC pipes, particularly Lower. When my husband and I (yes this is a female driven Evo), put on the exhuast a while back we noticed how small the lower IC pipes were. I've been shopping and I saw that Lancershop.com has a set of Injen upper, lower IC pipes along with the cold air intake for about $370. I thought that this was a good deal, but I wasn't sure about replacing the stock air box just yet. I heard that it was pretty good already. I was really just interested in getting lower IC pipes, but I see that those get into the mid $200s. Could someone help me and tell me what is the best brands to use and whether or not this 3 piece set by Injen is good? Thanks!

I dont know how much help I'll be, but I'll give you my .02 worth. Injen, from what I know is a very reputible company. So I would think that anything you buy from them will be a quailty product. The stock air box, again from what I have read, is giving good power. I have read articles where changing it had actually resulted in a loss of power. I'm sure someone with more knowledge that I will chim in here and help you out. I just wanted to give my opnion. Congrats on the "female driven EVO" Speed Safely, Hun

Ok I have the injen upper and lower pipes the pipe diameter is about the same a stock and it does use the stock black flex pipes. It didnt add any power more so just looks same goes from any IC pipes really. they are as big as they need to be untill you start uping hte boost and flowing more air. I still say get them because they will go hand in hand later on with other mods. The stock air box is fine people make over 400HP on them and some have had problems with MAS readings cause of intakes. the injen comes with an intake because the routing of the pipes you wont be able to have the stock air box it takes up alot of room. All in all I like my setup it is fine no trouble with it at all, however I do plan to upgrade to something a little better like the BR stuff or maybe TTrix or AMS
