Default JDM EVO 8 MR Blow Off Valve

Can anyone help me, that has or knows someone with this blow off valve on their Evo. I was wondering if it makes noise, and does it sound like the Greddy Type S. Which is what I want for my Evo, but they discontinued that model. Thanks for any help.

I don't have one , but know of people who do. It will def sound far from a greddy type s. I know i had one in my gst eclipse. Its maybe alittle louder then the stock plastic one. Only good thing is it as a stiffer spring for holding more boost and doesn't leak boost like the plastic one does. I believe the mr bov is good for about 22-23 lbs of boost

I doesn't sound much different than teh stock piece at all. It's a little bit louder if you have an intake though. No chirp at all, just a puff.

Alrite, thanks for the help guys. Ill take all that into consideration. I'm probably going to get a X-brand greddy type s bov, that I found on k2motor then.

If your looking to cheap out you prob should have done a little more Evo research , and not bought one lol. These cars are very very expensive between cost, mods, and maintenance. The maintenance alone is very expensive and you need to keep up on things like every 6k miles or your car will be not running to great. It is recommended to change plugs and tranny and Tcase fluids every 6k and every 12k for the rear diff, if your not doing that you better start. Brakes and tires dont last long either.
