why stay of away from nitrous....i dont understand
what the point of having it? You dont need it and all youll do is blow your motor up with it... its not like you need a shot to help spool up unless you had a 42r. only thing worth spraying is meth\alky and an IC cooler. n2o is just pointless. get meth tune the car and run high boost and you wont need more. a 500HP 50trim Evo is actually going to make the power and be VERY usable. For example my 50trim at 20PSI on the track is a 12.3 at 114.6 with a 1.8 60ft and a weak tune and lazy shifting. I spun the fronts for like split second and I got el cheapo tires. only one run I got sideway off the line and boiled them up and that was because I sat on the 2 step for a long time before leaving.

i guess i'm one of those "more is better" or "just in case i run into someone with a lil more"type of person...BUT i totally diasgree with it "all you'll do is blow up your motor"...N20 can be used VERY effectively if you are careful and respect it...careless fools end up on the side of the road with "holy" pistons from gettin to greedy with it...

You wait... nitrous backfire is unpredictable and can happen to anyone. Even fully prepared drag cars. One story in perticular wasa 1g DSM with nitrous... and it got nitrous backfire about 60ft down the track.. then suddenly.. BAM the intake exploded and a small fire started... no big deal right? Wrong. Nobody realised the fire was growing.. soon it got out of control and the car burned to the ground right on the track. Thousands of dollars down the ****ter. Now this is just one example.. there are a lot more. Still think nitrous is worth it?

Ofcourse you can get gains... but at the expense of a lot more added wear and tear on the engine.. and the added risk of just going pop ^^^ like that guy

Plus N2o for street racing is just plain dumb. You want more kick when you need it run a meth kit and a EBC and up the boost by the puch of a button. I run like 20 PSI daily even sometimes 14 actually. My car and tune and motor are ready for 24psi So all I do is change to setting 2 on my BC and boom HUGE gain in the instant. the fact of the matter is even at like 18PSI I am a mid 12 sec car and alot of cars are not as fast around in alot of cases I find myself in

dude that is the most retarded thing I have heard. best band for the buck till the bottom end falls out. Dude N20 there is no POINT. Have you ever seen the thing they did n spike Tv with the Evos? They gave to shops equal Evos and spending money to set up a street race in vagas. One Evo used n20 and a turbo upgrade ect ect made 543HP or something the other made 560 somthing without N20 and again they had equal spending $$$$. Guess what happens in the race. Evo with N20 blows up in 2nd gear other Evo was already ahead too. I understand people use and and 'can' tune it all that jazz but for a street car there is NO NEED unless you are using a really really big turbo that lags untill 5k plus and at that point a simple 50-75 shot is usful. If your worried about saving money for the best bang for the buck dont get an Evo. no matter what you do $$$$$ add up. I garrentee you that a 50trim powered Evo would satisfy you over what your used to and the road and go so far on from there. Hell there is a reason why places like bushur and AMS dont alwaysuse N20 on there drag cars. If they can run 8s-9s-10s without it then why do it?

i think we should just let this guy put nitrous on the car and blow it up. and while he's sitting on the side of the road wondering what tyhe cost will be to build a new engine he'll think of all the posts he's reading right now. evo's aren't supposed to be used for driving straight and seeing how fast you can go with the help of nitrous. theyre made for going faster then everything else in the back roads, but still having enough power to get you down the track faster then its competition. nitrous should only be used for a true drag car when you trying to get the best time on the track. not just for a daily drive down the highway. not to mention if a cop gets you for speeding and notices a 1/2 empty bottle of nos in the car youre pretty much screwed.

What people dnt realize about the Evo is it is NOT a highway car at all. AWD is a drag on teh highway it really slows you down alot too. So a car with a little less HP will hang or even beat an Evo in alot of cases. The AWD asside, the gearing of teh Evo SUCKS on highways as well. when your going 75MPH in 5th gear and over 4k RPMs the entire time there is a problem with that. It is geared to get you going to speed quick but not keep going up high.
