Default MBC question here.

I just installed the Buschur inline MBC.(connected between intake mainfold/BOV and Wastegate)(set it with 3rd gear pulls). I cranked it up, but initially boost plateaus at 14 PSI, then it slowly peaks to 21 psi and is held there. My question is: Is it normal for this first plateau at 14 psi to happen or do I have a leak or something (could it be hooked up wrong?) Thanks in advance!!

BTW, the supporting mods are : (BR350 plus some extra fun stuff)
[ul][*]BR 2.5" Mandrel Bent Stainless Steel Downpipe[*]BR 3" Mandrel Bent Stainless Steel Catback Exhaust[*]BR Air Filter Kit[*]Oil Pan Heat Shield[*]BR Polished Exhaust Manifold Heatshield[*]BR Spark Plug Cover[*]BR 2.5" Upper Intercooler Pipe w/ stock BOV[*]BR Mini Battery Kit[*]Ported Exhaust Manifold[*]Ported Turbine Housing[*]Ported 02 Housing[*]3" testpipe[*]autometer 30-0-30 boost guage

He shouldnt be creeping with those mods. at what RPM does it hit 14PSI. and where RPM wise is it at 21?

Okay, go to youtube, search for boost creep and see if that is what you are experiancing.

Maybe the wastegate isnt opening all the way

i agree with mike. There is no way you should have boost creep with just those mods. One of the first things i would try is to not tap off the BOV line but go off of the FPR line and see if that helps. Also make sure the MBC is not hooked up backwards.

[align=left]At around 3500-4000 rpm I'm at 14 psi, then it will start to creep up and reach peak boost at redline.

what doesnt make sense is that stock boost is set for more than 14psi. So im guessing you have either a vacuum leak or that MBC is not hooked up correctly or set correctly

Well, I changed directions that the MBC was hooked up and got the same result. I'm going to do a thorough boost leak test now. Thanks for the input.

OK I was just being a panzy. Apparently, I didn't have it turned up enough. I just cranked it up and it works great. Another great product from Buschur!!! It holds right where I want it at 21 psi!!! Thanks for the help!!

im surprised the stock BOV is actually holding that too. Because that thing will leak like a bastard. I think that would be the next thing to upgrade. Assuming this is the evo VIII with the plastic one
