Dyno tuning is the best way to go. All they do on a dyno is Flash you ECU. most places do it. Buschur, AMS, TurboTrix all of them do flashes. I have a flash by turbotrix and I have $10k in mods into my motor including cams and a 50trim turbokit. A Boost controller is a good thing to have a a\f controller there is really no such thing unless you meaning SAFC or something in which case a flash is a good start and get a wideband o2 just to monitor.

Ya i was talking about going with an apexi s-afc. I was just on ams website looking around. Thanks for the info. All i got right now on my car in the dejon intake pipe and extrememotorsports intake . It probley added a few hp.s , but for not it sounds color atleast. I can't waite to do more to my car , but got to wait till tax return time to do so. Heres what i'm on planning on doing in Feb.

megan turbo header
megan turbo o2 housing
ams lower i/c pipe
extreme motor sports upper i/c pipe
forge bov
walbro 255 fuel pump
ams stage one cams from gsc
ams front mount i/c
3" junb.l catback
3" test pipe
turbo xs downpipe
apexi s-afc
manul boost controler "for now"
step colder plugs
bursher racing turbo outlet pipe
then victor research in Conneticute will dyno tune it for me.

I'm hopping for 350 at the wheels , I want 400 but don't want to be let down if that car doesn't make that much.

are you an IX or VIII. if you a VIII you wont get 400. Also you dont need a SAFC dont waste your money. i have one and guess what it is all zeroed out not being used for anything but to look at my highest RPM. Reason why is a flash will give you a much better AFR tune than a SAFC can. and a SAFC is worthless as well if you dont have a wideband.

another thing I would suggest is do all the things you listed except the manifold and o2 housing. If you plan to upgrade your turbo ever then they are a waste too since they will need to be swapped at that point. unless you plan to only to a Green or 20G turbo then you can use the at least the manifold. Same goes for the lower IC pipe too actually

and what is the Buschur turbo outlet pipe? is that a downpipe with a stupid name lol

I am a 03 evo VIII , well least i know I won't be pushing 400. I more then likely will go green or 20G. Buscher as aturbo outlet pipe that replaces the stock tiny one on the compressor housing. I saw an evo at that shop i was telling you about . Big difference from that little stock piece. Plus I am in Conneticut. Where is there an AWD dyno shop that can reflash my ecu ?

That turbo outlet is also known as lower IC pipe. it is part of the lower IC pipe. most ic pipe kits replace that. You dont need a dyno to get a flash. You can mail them in with a mods list and they will do it, I have a mail in and I also have $10k into my motor and the car runs fine with it done that way just a little more of a safe tune versus a HP tune if you catch my drift.

Sebba you can and you cant. Because the SAFC doesnt go to that minimum RPM tuning increments where it will help. I have mine zeroed out because even a tiny little bit leaner and my AFRs were going from 11.1 to 11.8 so that is why I say the SAFC is pretty much worthless at that point UNLESS you toss in a few gallons of race gas or something at which time youll see the AFR drop a little more rich and the SAFC is helpful to make a quick tune for it to compansate for the higher octane

The Emanage FTL too. No one uses it. If you really want to tune yourself you go get the exede and software andlearn how to flash yourself then you have a device you can use to tune everything

wow thanks for the info. you seem to know alot about Evo's. I did not know most lower i/c pipe kits replace that outlet tube also. I guess i'm going to go with a reflash over the s-afc.What companies sell the green or 20g upgrade kit for evo's and what are the advantages and disadvangtes of using the 20G/ green over other others turbos upgrades out there. Also on more question for ya. Have you ever heard of brakes not fitting right and shifting inside the brake caliper. Cause everytime i change direction in my evo after having the dealership do my pads it sounds like my pads are shifting . I bought this evo from Carmax and they put the pads in. now that noise is driving me crazy along with the extreme squealing no matter how hot or cold the brakes are. no matter if its soft belt pressure or hard. They replaced the rear rotors and turned the front. I got this feeling i got some ****ting brakes on my car. what do u you think?

Well I saw on forced performance that fpgreen turbo. I think thats what i will go with. I want right around 400 to 450 at the wheels and that turbo will provide that. I'd like 600 or even 700 hp , but lets get real i don't got that kinda money and this in my daily driver. and around here a 400/450whp evo would walk on just about everything. My main target is those damn srt-4 neons. I hate them. but beating a superchargered cobra and new z06 vet would be very nice . Hell i wanna take down vipers too.
