i was looking into getting a 300zx before also, and like compose said, they are a pain to work on. Thats what i had heard from alot of people, and what kinda turned me away from them
so you go out and buy an MR2 which is quite possibly even harder to work on than a front engine v6???

Go with the Evolution, seriously for the money you cant beat it. You run 12's with less then 500 $, with out comprimising a.c or power steering like alot of cars do. Easy to work on, and fun on corners.

And most importantly, they look great

but again. just a suggestion

lol. true, but most people on this forum like imports, personally i would go with the used z06. but you have to see you opinion through their eyes.
Plus my opion is bias, because all i drive is domestics. So i give a neutral suggestion

Nonetheless i hear you.

i totally agree. I try giving my suggestion on the price range a person gives. I purchased a c6 z06 from an old guy in north minnesota. He was driving home and nearly went head first into a guard rail, trying to swurve around an animal he saw on the road. He tore up the whole front end, but barely touched the engine it self. My buddy who knew i was looking for one, called me and said he was selling it, and i flew over there the next day, and came back with it on a trailer for 55K cash. I rebuild the whole front end, with all new body parts, and straighten the chassis. Completly upgraded the LS7, and have a 06 zo6 for under 65k with 2 thosand miles on it. They go on show rooms, for 90K, and people buy them like they were geo metros. I was extremely lucky.

As for the evo, it really is a awesome buy for the money, you figure with 500$ your already running high 11's or low 12's, no vette can do that, not even the c5 z06, and they do 12.6 stock.
So the evolution is infact a better buy.

Dude its easy to pay under $25k for an Evo. I got my Evo 2 years ago with 12k on it for $22k. Just learn how to play the game my friend and you can get what you want. They were asking $26995 for my car and I took it off the lot for $21995. I did alright. it only took about 5 hours though maybe even more not sure
