Default timing belt

hi all members. i need some help i purchased my evo 1 1993 model on saturday 15th of january and it was great. i had planned on a service and timing belt change and being a mechanic myself i knew it would be no prob. but last night wen iwas leaving work the belt snapped and i started to cry!!!today i checked everything and it seemed ok so i fitted a new belt but i have no compresoin. i sought help from mitsi but they couldn't help. does anyone know where my cams should b set .
