If you are sure it's your syncros, then I personally would just get them replaced. Not a hundred percent sure but I think you can upgrade the syncros. I'll let someone else comment on upgrading the syncros but getting a new tranny is expensive. John Shepperd at http://www.sheptrans.com/ does a pretty good job at upgrading trannys. Check him out but it's gonna cost ya big bucks.

http://www.jackstransmissions.com/

I found this shop yesterday, after reading up on this guy and watching a few of his videos, I would say he's reliable and knows what he's doing. He seems a bit cheaper than sheptrans.com as well, although sheptrans.com is a highly respected shop.

Check out his site as well as his videos and let me know what you think. Once I get my car up and running I think I'm gonna go see him for performance upgrades.

if anyone on here has experience with this guy please comment. As I said, for first impressions, he seems legit.

Fortunately for me, he is located in Colorado, about 55 min from where I live....so I won't have to mail my tranny or t-case.

reverse isnt synchronized.
You're suffering reverse blocking, which is normal on many, many trannies. Try shifting into any other gear first.

you NEED to go into first before you can go into reverese otherwise youll be fighting it to get in, Also change your Tranny fluids first before saying "i think my syncros"

Evos drivetrains are very very picky and you should be changing the Tcase and Tranny fluids like every 6-8k otherwise(mitsu says 15k but DO NOT wait that long) only use mitsu Diaqueen in the Tcase and switch the tranny to syncroshift II

yea well when it doesn't go in reverse i will ease ahead in first and then try reverse. after some time i can usually get it in reverse but sometimes i cannot. i have to push it. lol. but i did change my tranny fluid 2K miles ago with the syncroshift II. i also have a slight grind from 4th to 5th.

make sure your tranny is filled fully too. Otherwise take it in to the dealer and get that thing looked at. Take all the mods off
