my buddy has an 07 evo mr and i was curiious do u need a turbo timer??? or does it cool itself?? lemme kno thanks

No 07 evos but the Turbo cools itself if you let it idle for 2 mins before shutting the car off that is all a turbo timer will do for you. I had a hand full of mods on my car a turbo timer is not one of them mainly becase it is not a mod it is a luxary basically so you can be lazy and not sit for a minute

Wouldn't that be covered under the 10/100,000 powertrain warranty? Can't you just shut the car down immediately like you can an STI?

you can just shut any Turbo car down if you wish to but it is not healthy for the turbo (Im sure the STi guys know that)

ya, when you shut your car off, the turbo is still spooling but the engine stops feeding oil to the turbo, so its running oilless untilll it stops. the turbotimer keeps the car on until the turbo spools down so it keeps oil going to it and you dont have to sit and wait
