I recently bought a 1995 Galant ES, that wont start at all, previous owner stated fuel pump was bad... i had a new one put on and a new fuel filter. Im getting fuel, but NO SPARK at all? Also new battery installed, and mechanic checked distributor and said it was fine, all fuses were checked and ok, all power accessories work fine.I know it could be a # of things, but was wondering if it could be the ECU? There is a loud, rapid clicking sound in the dashboard near the glovebox when the key is turned to the ON/START position... is the ECU in that area? and how do i know if its bad? The car has the 2.4 liter 4g64 and automatic transmission. The engine is from another car though... not sure what year or model it came from, the previous owner didnt even tell me the engine was replaced until i contacted him again to see if i could find out any more information as to what happened when the car quit running/starting. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, I am currently without transportaion, and need to get it fixed ASAP...

 

It would seem that the relay would be bad.... just a guess.

 

is it behind the glovebox? what does it look like? Im an idiot when it comes to mechanical problems

 

ok, turns out clicking noise behind glovebox was a relay switch for the circulation on/off of the heater/ac, still dont know why car wont start/NO SPARK..... ANYONE, HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!
