2000 Galant 2.4 Timing help
I am trying to help a friend with a 2000 2.4l according to the plugs its running hot, and it sluggish, i am assuming the base timing is off. Id like to know what should the base timing be? (Ive read its 5 btdc, but this was in a vr4 website so not sure if its the same) also where is the port that needs to be jumped to stop the ecu from changing the timing (ive read its a random plug with a yellow and red wire but again this was on a japanese site so not sure if its the same. and finally, when it come to actually changing the timing, what do i turn? all my cars have distributors! oh and the firing order would be helpful while im here.... thanks in advance!
