Hi - my heat has stopped working and from what I read, it seems to be a common problem among Galants. I haven't been able to find any posted solutions though. A mechanic told me the heater core was probably clogged and needs replacing. I was quoted around $700 just for labor. Has anybody else experienced this or know of any other cause for the problem? Any help or direction is greatly appreciated. Thanks

the problem is either low coolant level, or a failed heater shut off motor.
