2003 GTZ will not start
2003 Galant GTZ with 120K miles.
Zero problems till now.
My daughter pulled into the parking space, turned off the engine, exited and locked the door. When she returned 30 minutes later, the car would not start.
It will crank okay, but when you release the key from the starter-engaging position, it sounds like it will almost start, then stops.
(Is there a fusable link? Or a fuse problem?)
So, when the starter is engaged, it seems like no fire is going to the spark plugs. When you release the starter, you may have fire for a second.
Tried the key in the door lock trick to reset it. No luck.
Checked the relays by swapping out engine ones with others. No luck.
Checked the fuses. None blown.
Bought a code checker. Zero Codes.
She has the oil and filter changed every 3,000 miles.
We are using a K&N airfilter and it is clean.

Thanks for responding, Terminallance.
Checked those. No problems.
Called wrecker and sent the car to my local mechanic.
I am just too busy to fix it.
I am changing my Escape hybrid front wheel bearings tomorrow (Sunday).
Funzy stuff. Not.
