Default 2007 Galant AC issues

I have a 2007 Galant and have had nothing but issues with the AC. I have had the compressor replaced twice (second time was under warranty), the condenser replace as it had a 1/2 dollar size hole in it, and I still don't have AC. The system holds the charge, and the compressor kicks in for a little while, but it builds up pressure and quits. The line leading into the firewall that goes to the heater core builds up condensation and gets very cold, but there appears to be some kind of plug in the line that will not let it return. I don't get any cold air out of the vents at all. It is also making the car buck and stall if using the defroster (which I know uses the AC system). I have spent over $1000 so far in parts and labor and trouble shooting the AC in this car... is it a lost cause or should I just replace the whole system and be done with it... I've almost done that so far anyway. My question is, is there any way to replace the section that is in the heater core, and if so how? It appears that that is where the problem is this time...
