Can anyone show me what universal intake etc. are available? I've searched an ended up with nothing.

 

I'm guessing your talking about a full aftermarket air induction system? I had a look for 2001 galant and came up with nothing as well. Making your own induction system will be the cheapest and safest option, universal intakes are usually pretty poor quality and the hose length will be different which can cause problems. There are numerous sites for guidance on making your own.

I'm thinking about making one from scratch for mine using a K&N cone filter and mounting behind the engine and having a bonnet scoop and a heat shield below so its only sucking in cool air, I'll try and keep the hose the same length as well so I don't anticipate any problems. Use the same diameter hose as well.
