Aftermarket Stereo
i just got my 2002 Galant LS this past weekend, and i was wanting to put my Alpine in my new car. i got a wiring harness and realized there was no sound on my new headunit. I quickly realized that there was an amplifier on my Infinity speakers. Is there a good, easy, and clean way to bypass that, so when/if i sell the car later on, i can put the old headunit back in without any problems? im a total n00b with my new car lolz

If you havent already, get the scosche factory harness plugg from best buy, or circuit city, and plug that into your factory harness, use your factory alpine harness and make sure you have the wires tied together correctly.
If thats what you already have, just go back and make sure you have the wires connected properly.
Sounds to me like you dont have the remote turn on wire connected to the amp.

no i have that already...the problem is that my speakers have a factory amplifier (under the seat) and i don't know if there is an easy way to bypass that. the factory stereo has a plug specifically for the speaker output (a 6 prong plug, similar to a s-video cable) and i don't wanna splice into that, incase i have to put the factory headunit back in, and i was wondering if there was a easy way to bypass that without cutting up wires i might need later on
