Default Can't remove headlight plugs

I have a 2001 Galant and recently the headlights have been a problem. Sometimes they go out for no apparant reason. I've nailed it down to bad/corroded connections between the plugs and the headlight bulbs. These are the original bulbs.

Problem is i can't work the female plugs loose from the bulb prongs, even using pliers. I don't want to force things so much that i break things. Any and all suggestions as to how to handle this problem would be appreciated.

Try some penetrating oil first (and get some electrical contact cleaner to clean the oil off it it works) If not, go ahead and use pliers, if you break it cut them off, go to the boneyard and get some new connectors with wires and resolder them to your harness.

Sometimes connectors have little tabs that you have to lift or depress to remove them, just make sure you are not missing seeing these before you destroy them.
