Does anybody know if you could put a Eclipse motor in a Galant? Or a Galant in a Eclipse?

If you are talking about the 8G Galant (1999-2003) and the Eclipse 3G (2000-up) then yes you will find they share the same motors. The Eclipse has always been based off the Galant except for the 9G Galant. The 8G Galant and the 3G Eclipse share the 4G64 for the 2.4L I4 and the 6G72 for the 3.0L V6. </P>

Now if you are talking about some other kind of Eclipse to Galant or reverse you will need to tell me what you are planning and I can give you some more pointers.</P><edited><editID>Prophet</editID><editDate>37980.1635185185</editDate></edited>

ORRRRR if you have a USDM 7g a 4g63t from any 1g or 2g eclipse will bolt in. You would be better to pick up a 90/91 e/t/l 6bolt engine and stear clear of crankwalk...
