engine tuneup and timing belt change

can the enigne tuneup and timing belt change can be done separately or it is adviced to perform both at the same time? I am havng 2002 model Galant. ES

You can do it whenever you want, but if your doing a timing belt might as well do a tune up too. Do it all at one time and dont worry abt it later.

How many miles on your car. No tune up won't kill it but if the timing belt breaks then bye, bye motor. If you have over 60K then I would sugest you do the timing belt 1st.

Yeah how many miles do u have on the car, b/c mitsubishi suggest replacing timing belt every 60k.
