Mitsubishi Galant VR-4s were imported to the United States in 1991 (2000 imported) and 1992 (1000 imported) each of which came with a numbered dash badge and key fob. Production numbers for Galant VR4s sold elsewhere in the world are unknown but guessed to be a couple thousand in total. Primarily sold in Japan, some were also exported to New Zealand, Australia, and other countries in the area. Some have even managed to make it to Europe and central Asia as gray market cars.
