Limp Mode, P0743, 36?
Hello,
I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant ES 2.4l Automatic. (F4a42)
It has a check engine light, the generic code is p0743 TCC Solenoid Electrical
I took it to a transmission shop and they pulled a Mitsubishi specific code "36" and said it had to do with the TCC Solenoid shorting out. They also said the wiring harness had a high resistance? Not sure what they meant by that.
The car is stuck in 3rd gear. I can put it in drive (automatically goes to 3rd gear), reverse, and neutral. We replaced the TCC Solenoid and that did not fix it.
What exactly is code 36?
