Can someone help me out. My check engine light came on after car randomly would not start. No click nothing just all dash lights and power throught car. I took it to autozone to get check engine light code.i got the code p0355 i have searched it on the web and got crankshaft positon sensor circuit. I am assuming my crankshaft needs to be replaced. Would this ckp cause my car not to start or is my starter bad as well. Also can someone give me a rough estimate on how much the ckp should cost to repair/replace

 

Yes it will cause the car to not start.

Shouldn't need a new crank, just a new crankshaft position sensor. Prob between $200 to $400. Just depends on whether the part is oem or cheap and what type of shop is doing the work. I'd highly recommend a factory part and a Mitsu dealership install.
