no, they dont "fire better". Im not even sure what you're trying to say.
the ONLY REASON to use a rare metal plug is too extend service life. Thats it. NOTHING ELSE. Its true that a platinum plug at 50,000 miles will work much better than a copper plug, because the copper plug would have nearly worn away at that time. hence the reason that copper plugs have 15k service intervals.
any plug material will work exactly the same. The electrode has very, VERY little to do with required voltage. Required voltage is determined by factors like temperature, compression, fuel ratio, etc. Changing the plug material makes no difference.
