Taking apart dash/center console for stereo install on 2001 Galant
Hello all.
I just got a 2001 Galant and want to install an aftermarket stereo so I can use my Ipod in the car. In my Miata I have an Alpine I installed and I ran the Ipod cable through the central console and into the compartment under the center armrest. This way, the Ipod is hidden from view, constantly charging, and controlled from the headunit. I want to do this on my Galant as well. The dash and center console on my Miata were fairly simple to take apart and put together myself, can anyone guide me to directions on how to take them apart on my Galant too so I can run the cable through the center console and into the storage compartment under the center armrest?
Thanks in advance.
PS, is there an adapter I could get from Mitsu to just use my ipod this way with the oem cd player in my car now? Its the basic oem cd player. I dont want an fm frequency adapter, but a real cable connected directly to the head unit, to control the ipod from it as if it were oem.
