Default 02 lancer OZ 2nd gear problem

About a week ago i noticed problem with the 2nd gear which is very hard to get into when the car is cold. i replaced the tranny fluid with the Royal Purple Synthetic Max-Gear Oil 75W90 thinking it would fix the problem but it didnt go away. The rest of the gears isn't so bad compering to the second which even makes the clunk noise when shifted from 1st to 2nd. Any suggestions what could be going wrong ?? i hope it is not the synchros because Im a poor student and this would be out of my budged.
